Principal's Message
“If you wish success in life make perseverance your bosom friend, experience you wise counsellor, caution you elder brother and hope your guardian genoius.” Education not only in language but in all subjects has become a farce and a mockery. Correct and intelligible writing is an indispensable need in all subjects. Indian education sorely requires complete overhauling, Education is a sacred trust of the government. All civilized countries are doing this. And this must be done by India as well.
What is wrong with our education? Quite a number of things. Our education has fallen into a vicious circle. The education, or the teaching or the training from the primary to the university stage is so poor that the products of our educational institutions are unfit to work at any job. Character of students must be capable of standing firm its feet in the world of daily work, temptations and trials and able to bear the wear and tear of actual life.
The word “Education” is derived from a Latin word meaning “to draw out” whether this definition is correct or not the aim of true education is certainty, not so much to load the memory with knowledge or develop the faculties of the mind. The object of education is practical it is to teach us how to make the best use of our faculties.
The most important part of early education is the acquiring of truth in seeing, truth in thinking and truth in expressing one’s thoughts. All the courses of study a child goes through at school are meant as mental training, Just as gymnastics and physical drill are meant to develop and strengthen the bodily muscles.
People sometimes talk of having “finished” their education when they leave school or college. But as I think real education should never finish. All through life we should be learning, not only from books, but from experience- from life itself. Lastly if this diary is made and effective link between parents and teachers, parents will be the first teacher and teachers will be the second parents.
